NHS Fees

We currently offer a complete and comprehensive treatment program on the NHS  including:  fillings, extractions, root canal treatment, crowns, and bridgework amongst other things.

There are three NHS charge bands – prices are set by the Department of Health.:

• Band 1: £27.40 covers an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes X-rays, a scale and polish and planning for further treatment.
• Band 2: £75.30 covers all treatment covered by Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).
• Band 3: £326.70 covers all treatment covered by Bands 1 and 2, custom made appliances (mouthguards) and other more complex procedures, such as crowns, dentures and bridges.
• Emergency visit: £27.40

Private fees

Imperial College Dental Surgery can provide a full range of private treatments including hygienist appointments.

1) Consultation and examination

– New Patient Examination (including X-rays & treatment plan) – £150
– Routine Examination (existing patients) – £90
– Emergency Appointment (including necessary X-rays & pain relief) – £150

– Diagnostic & X-Rays

•Small X-ray (Bitewing/Periapical) – £30
•⁠ OPG (Full Mouth X-ray) – £60 for our patients and £80 for patients referred in (currently not available)

2) Hygiene & Periodontal Care

– Routine Hygiene Appointment (30 mins) – £75
– Routine Hygiene Appointment with Airflow (30 mins) – £130
– Heavy Stain Removal (1 hour) – £130
– Periodontal Treatment (1-hour deep clean with local anaesthetic) – £130

4) Root Canal Treatment
